Illegal timber mill seized at Bongaigaon

Bongaigaon: A special force of Aie valley division of the Forest department seized an illegal timber mill on Wednesday from Digdari area under Bidyapur PS of Bongaigaon district.

Talking to mediapersons, Ghrito Kumar Ray, in-charge of the special forest force said that they had launched an operation on Wednesday morning. “Few timber logs were recovered here.

A person named Azahar Ali, resident of Sapatgram area, has been arrested. But Azahar said that he was an employee of the mill and had joined just a day ago. Owner of this mill has not been found yet. We seized all machines and timber. Azahar will be produced in court,” he said.
