Illegal timber seized

Gohpur, July 2: On Saturday, Hawajan Police under Gohpur subdivision maged to seize 50 kg illegal Simolu timber. The logs were being carried from Bonpuroi Jamuguri of Lakhimpur district to Rajabari under Gohpur subdivision. Bishnu Ram Doley, Sanjay Pegu and Ranjan Pegu were arrested for alleged involvement in the illegal timber business. Later, Hawajan Police handed over the illegal timber to Gohpur forest department.
