TAMALPUR, Feb 5: Kumarikata forest range launched an operation at Bogajuli forest reserve on Sunday and seized a large number of valuable timber under Tamulpur subdivision in the district of Baksa.
Following secret information, a team of forest officials of Kumarikata forest range launched the operation and seized timber and one tractor from timber smugglers when they were trying to carry the timber from the Bhutan border. Two persons were also bbed. They have been identified as Justin Ekka and Sombar Daimary and they were remanded to judicial custody.
