Illicit liquor destroyed in Sivasagar

DEMOW, Feb 23: After the shocking hooch tragedy which took place in Halmira Tea Estate in Golaghat district, the Excise Department of Sivasagar district conducted a search operation of illicit liquor under Demow revenue circle on Saturday. Indica Gogoi, Circle Officer (A) of Demow Revenue Circle, Demow Police and Officer of Excise Department of Sivasagar district conducted raids on illicit liquor dens in various places under Demow revenue circle and destroyed a large quantity of illicit liquor. Couple of arrests were also made.
