ILP: Students, women organization take out rally

IMPHAL, July 2: Students from various schools of Imphal West underpinned by various women’s bodies and other civil societies took out a rally in the city on Thursday, demanding implementation of Inner Line Permit and immediate withdrawal of MRVT & MW Bill, 2014 during the ongoing Assembly session. The demonstrators shouted pro-ILP slogans and cried for Manipur.  However, the demonstrators had a scuffle with the police at Takhel Leikai after it started from Kwakeithel, when police tried to stop them. However, the police stopped the rally at Tiddim Service Station and restricted the demonstrators from marching towards the Assembly.
