ILP violators bbed near harlagun rail station

Itagar, March 13: After an hour-long drama of hide and seek, three ILP violators were bbed from nearby jungle of harlagun Railway Station by Govt Railway Police (GRP) just after their arrival by the Guwahati-harlagun Intercity Express early Thursday morning.

The three ILP violators were identified as Kasim Ali, Shahidul Islam and Mizaroor Rehman from Belartari Village, Barpeta, Assam, district tourism officer (DTO) T K Kopak said in a statement here today.

Later, following the revelation of the ILP violators, a team of GRP personnel led by Rigio Tabam bbed the mastermind who encouraged the bbed persons to visit harlagun without ILP. All were handed over to harlagun Police Station for further investigation. Giving details of the episode Kopak informed that just after the arrival of the Intercity Express the GRP personnel on duty saw 3 persons running away from the railway stations towards jungle. Within no time the GRP team chased the ILP defaulters and started a search operation inside the jungle. Later with the information received from a local person, the team caught all the three. The team also bbed the mastermind Sikarder Ali of Belatari village, Barpeta from Nyorch river bank while he was trying to escape from the security dragnet. Surprisingly, the arrested ILP violators revealed that their boss Sikarder Ali who has been staying in rented house at Nyorch Village near Yupia, asked them to run way in the jungle after getting down from the train.
