Importance of re-writing history with tive perspective underlined

UDALGURI, May 7: The meeting of Udalguri district committee of Itihas Sankalan Samiti, Asom was held at Udalguri Sahitya Sabha Bhavan. The meeting stressed the importance of mobilizing organizatiol activities in the district. The meeting was presided over by Puspadhar Sarma, the president, and conducted by Dwijendra Bayan, the general secretary of Udalguri district committee of Itihas Sankalan Samiti, Asom. Dr. gendra th Sarma spoke on the importance of re-writing the history of the region through the tive perspective. He also revealed that the Udalguri region had a lot of important raw materials for history.

 Citing the examples of Bhairabkunda, Madhav Gohain, Dewalkhanda Dewalaya, Mukteswari Dewalaya and Muradeor Dewalaya, he delved into the historical facts of the area. He also stressed  on the Himalayan migration from thousands of years in the region. Jayanta Brahma, senior advocate and also the organizing secretary of the committee, urged the people to extend cooperation to the organization to carry out their motto. Kulen Bora, Kaleswar Basumatary and Santiram Sarma interacted with gendra th Sarma, the central executive member of Bharatiya Itihas Sankalan Samiti.
