Imran Khan implies to have agreed that Mumbai terror attackers originates from Pakistan

Guwahati: It seems that Pakistan is finally acknowledging this fact the 26/11 Mumbai attackers had come all the way from Pakistan to target terror and death race in Mumbai. The Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, though tacitly, but has admitted that the terrorists originated from the Pakistani soil.

The Pakistan PM propagated for peace taking two steps against each step taken by India. He also added that his government wants to act against those who are involved in the 'act of terror'. This very interest of the PM indicates that he is aware of the origin of the terrorists and hence, has said about taking strict actions against the wrong-doers.

It was on November 26, 2008, when 10 heavily-armed Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists had entered into India through the water route and attacked in multiple places of the coastal city Mumbai. Among the notable places attacked by the militants, the remarkable was the iconic Taj Hotel.

Imran Khan, in an interview with the media, had said, "We also want something done about the bombers of Mumbai. I have asked our government to find out the status of the case. Resolving that case is in our interest because it was an act of terrorism."

The Mumbai attack case is in a trial in an anti-terrorism court in Pakistan and has made only a little headway in the last 10 years. This is due to the reason that according to the Pakistani establishment, there has been not enough evidence against the seven activists.

India, at the same time, has made it clear that until and unless Pakistan punishes the terrorists involved in the crime, there will be no improvement in the bilateral relations with the neighbouring country. India is also pushing the country for strict action against the LeT chief Hafiz Saeed as despite being declared an international terrorist he has been roaming freely in Pakistan.

This has been made very clear by the Narendra Modi government that terror and talks cannot go together. Hence, it is now Pakistan’s turn that it takes acute action against terrorist and its preachers in order to build a good relation with India.
