Incessant rains flood Demow

DEMOW, May 15: Incessant rains have triggered flash floods in Demow town, affecting normal life of the people. The most affected areas of Demow town are Lachit gar, Kushal Path, Sukafa gar, Alun gar, Jatha Path and Housing Colony. Many houses were submerged in the flood waters. Several roads have been inundated. Pedestrians could not take the roads due to the flooding. Vehicular movement was also thin. Officials of the circle led by Circle Officer Mrs ndita Roy Gohain visited the affected areas and took stock of the situation. School and college going students have been affected the most. Office goers also had a harrowing time. Locals have urged the authorities to address the problem at the earliest.
