Income tax camp held in Guwahati

GUWAHATI, Jan 30: LK Agarwal, Commissioner of Income Tax (Exemptions), Kolkata, along with his team members—Dr AK Mandal, DCIT (E), Hqrs. & Admn., Kolkata, Pulak Das, ITO (E), Guwahati, Subhajit Kr g, ITO (E), Shillong & three Inspectors of Income Tax—Shyamal Chatterjee & Chandan Paul from Kolkata, Dipak Kr Singh from Guwahati held a camp at Aayakar Bhawan, Christian Basti here from January 27 to 29, stated a press release.

Agarwal stated that like the previous camp held on November 26 & 27 in 2015, this time also the camp, was held in Guwahati to minimize the troubles being faced by the applicants of the NE Region who were required to visit Kolkata for registration u/s 12AA/80G/10(23C) of Income Tax Act, 1961 for exemptions to their trusts and societies.

He further informed that the similar camp would be held again at Guwahati on April 27 & 28 and at Imphal on April 29.

Agarwal also expressed his satisfaction over the response from large number of applicants and he had assured that such camps will be organized in Guwahati & other parts of NER after every three months.
