Indefinite prohibitory orders in Sonitpur announced

Tezpur, Dec 27: In order to maintain law and order in the district, Additiol District Magistrate, Sonitpur, Kishan Kumar Sarmaon Wednesday issued a prohibitory order under section 144 in Sonitpur district. Through the order, the district administration has put a curb on general assembly of five or more persons at one place. Entry in the public place, play ground, cinema hall and theatre with weapons is strictly prohibited as well as pillion riding in a two wheeler, except women, children, security personnel and government officials who are exempted from this prohibition.

 Forcefully collecting dotion, gift coupon and lottery are also prohibited without prior permission. Conducting meeting in a public place, exercise, procession and slogan are also prohibited without prior permission of the authority concerned. The order further states that no loudspeakers causing sound pollution will be played from 10 pm to 6 am in any place.  This order has been enforced in the entire district with immediate effect and will be continued until further order.
