Indefinite rail blockade continues

Haflong, April 19: Though the NF Railway has cancelled running all the trains between Lumding-Badarpur Hills section, the NCHISF sponsored indefinite rail blockade continues as hundreds of NCHISF thronged stations like Harangajao on Thursday. The NCHISF has called the rail blockade in demand of immediate payment of necessary compensation to about 500 Railway-affected families.

Talking to the media, David Keivom, president of NCHISF, said, “The Railway authorities are creating problems. We clearly said that we are always ready to sit and discuss for a solution. But Railway authorities are silent. Instead of inviting us to solve the problems, they are creating problems for innocent passengers.”
