India bag 6 gold in shooting

GUWAHATI, Feb 13: Indian shooters grabbed all the six gold medals which were on offer today. Omkar Singh (men’s 10m air pistol), Rahi Sarnobat (women’s 25m pistol) and Anjum Moudgil (women’s 50m rifle 3 positions) bagged a gold each while the host collected top spots in all the three team events held at Kahilipara Shooting Range here today. India domited all three individual events completely and bagged most of the medals except one, a silver, which was collected by Pakistan’s Kaleemullah in men’s 10m air pistol.

Meanwhile Indian women team registered huge victory against Sri Lanka in the hand ball event of the Games. India domited the match, held at Tapesia complex, from the very beginning and pumped in 70 goals to their opponent net. Sri Lanka returned only 10.In the other two games of the day Pakistan defeated Afghanistan by 37-3 while Bangladesh register hard fought 34-27 victory over Maldives.
