India clinch both gold in handball

DIMORIA, Feb 15: India clinched gold in both men and women events of the handball in the 12th South Asian Games winning their fil in contrasting styles at Tapesia Sports complex today. The men fil, which was held between two arch rivals Pakistan and India, was a highly tensed battle and host hold the nerve till the end to win the game by a solitary goal, 32-31. However Indian eves didn’t require battling hard to win the title against Bangladesh. India maintained healthy lead from the beginning and filly won the game by 45-25. Bangladesh and Pakistan collected bronze medals in the men and women section respectively.
