GUWAHATI, Jan 24: The 20th India Club-Anup Lahoty Open Tennis Championship, organised by India Club, got under way at the club premises today. The tourment is being organised for Boy’s Singles Under- 12,14,18 years, Girl’s Singles Under- 14,18 years, Gentlemen Singles and Doubles, Senior Gentlemen Doubles (above 35 years), Gentlemen Veteran’s Doubles (above 45, 55 and 65 years) respectively. Altogether 230 players from various parts of the region are taking part in it. The winners and runners-up in the Boy’s and Girl’s category will be awarded with cash scholarship.
