India Made Foreign Liquor seized by Flying Squad Teams and Static Surveillance Teams during general elections is destroyed

ITANAGAR: The IMFL bottles seized during general elections by Flying Squad Teams (FSTs) and Static Surveillance Teams (SSTs) of Tawang district were destroyed here on Friday.

A member of Women’s Welfare Association, the board members of FST and SST and all the three bazar secretaries of Tawang were present as witnesses on the day. Before emptying the liquor into a pit, the district executive magistrate Sang Khandu, informed the Women Welfare Association members and bazar secretaries that this process is being carried out in compliance with the Election Commissions instructions. Thanking the people and various associations for conducting a peaceful election without any involvement of liquor, he also requested the denizens of the district to maintain the same spirit and sense of responsibility to make Tawang a alcohol-free district.

The destroyed material included 40.5 bulk litres of IMFL and 39.6 bulk litres of beer. The entire process of destroying was video recorded and photographed.
