India move in archery

SHILLONG, Feb 6: India's Abishek Verma and Rajat Chauhan, together with Bhutan's Tshewang Dorji and Tashi Deljor have made it to the fils in the Compound Men Archery Competition held here today at the Archery Ground of the Jawaharlal Nehru's Sports Complex.

While Verma scored 148, his Teammate scored 145, followed closely behind by Tashi Deljor with 142 points, and Tshewang Dorji with 135 points. The fight for Gold and Silver Medal will be between Abishek and Rajat, while Bhutan will have to content with Bronze.

Meanwhile, in the Women's Compound India's Deepika Kumari and L Bombayla Devi will fight for Gold and Silver, as Beauty Ray and Karma will vie for Bronze.

In the Men's Recurve, Tarundeep Rai will meet Gurucharan Besra for Gold and Silver Medals, while Nepal's Prem Prasad Pun and Sri Lanka's Nipu Senerivathne will vie for Bronze.

Purvasha Sudhir Shende and her Teammate Jyothi Surekha Venm will vie for Gold and Silve Medals in the Compound Women, while the Bangladesh Team of Sushmita Banik and Tamman Parvin will content with Bronze.
