India seeks global action against JuD chief

New Delhi, Feb 20: India on Monday called for an intertiolly mandated action against Pakistan-based terrorist leader Hafiz Saeed, the mastermind of the 2008 Mumbai terror attack. “Effective action mandated intertiolly against him and his terrorist organisation is a logical first step in bringing justice and in ridding our region of the twin meces of terrorism and violent extremism,” the Exterl Affairs Ministry said. Over two weeks after placing Saeed under house arrest, Pakistan on Saturday included the Jamaat-ud-Dawa chief’s me in the Fourth Schedule of the Anti-Terrorism Act. The JuD chief’s me has also been put on the exit control list which bars him from leaving Pakistan.  (IANS)
