India to Host South African President in its 70th Republic Day Celebrations

Guwahati: Only two months left for India to celebrate its 70th Republic day and the preparations are in full swing to make sure that nothing is left undone on that special day. As a republic country, India been celebrating the republic day with full fervor and preparations and this year as well, the celebrations are going to be of top level.

As reported by an official source, like every year, this year as well India is to host a chief guest and he is none other than the President of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa.

Ramaphosa, lately, has been in good terms with the Prime Minister of India as the South African president hosted Narendra Modi during the BRICS summit held in July in Johannesburg. In this summit, both the nations had signed three agreements which contained establishment of an academic centre on studying the legacy of non-violence in both countries.

In fact, as per the official sources, Cyril Ramaphosa also has chances of attending the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, which will be held in Varanasi between January 21-23, 2019.
