Indian Army provides skill development training

GUWAHATI: Indian Army & OIL India Ltd joined hands together with Pragat Edutech to provide free of cost skill development training to youths of lower Assam.

Under the ‘SOIL’ (Self Observed and Initiated Little) initiative to educate, empower & employ the youth undertaken by Red Horns Division, a total of 260 students including 115 girls were exposed to the opportunity of skill development in Tourism & Hotel Management, one of the most sought after job role today at Tamulpur, Baksa district. OIL under the IT project ‘Swabalamban’ mobilised almost more than 100 youths seeking employment for training. Training of the selected candidates will commence at Guwahati under Pragati Edutech which will provide them with free fooding, lodging & uniform during the three months of training, a press release stated.
