Indian Army to implement online system for recruitment

JORHAT, June 22: With a view to bring more efficiency, the recruitment of all ranks into the Indian Army has been automated by the Recruiting Directorate on their website www.indiarmy.nic.in. The revised online procedure is being implemented from July 1, 2016 onwards. All candidates desirous of enrollment in the Indian Army are required to register their candidature on the website by entering their persol data, e-mail ID and mobile number.

Subsequently, as and when the recruitment rallies are announced on the same website, the registered candidates are required to fill their applications online. On successful filing of application, the candidate will receive an auto generated unique Roll Number, which will be used to identify the candidate in following stages of recruitment. Besides, the candidates who have successfully filed application will be intimated on their registered e-mail or mobile number, the venue and date of conduct of their Physical Fitness Test and further process of recruitment. Moreover, for all future recruitment rallies, educatiol qualification has been fixed as 10th pass with minimum 33 per cent marks in each subject and with overall aggregate of 45 per cent for Soldier (General Duty) and only 10th simple pass for Soldier (Tradesman).
