Indigenous Nationalist Party of Twipra (INPT) Flays Clashes Between BJP & IPFT

Agartala: The Indigenous Nationalist Party of Twipra (INPT) has expressed grave concern over the growing unrest in the hills due to rivalry between the two partners of the ruling alliance – the BJP and the IPFT.

General secretary of INPT Jagadish Debbarma said people in the hilly areas of the State are restless nights due to violent clashes between the supporters of the BJP and the IPFT.

He urged the leaders of both the partners of the ruling alliance to stop terrorizing the people. He also urged the police to act swiftly against law breakers.

He was referring to several recent incidents in Gandachera and Raishyabari in Dhalai district where entire area got disturbed due to violent clashes between the supporters of the BJP and their alliance partner IPFT.

President of the National Conference of Tripura Animesh Debbarma also spoke to the reporters and stressed on uniting all the regional and democratic forces to protest against such activities of the ruling parties. He said the INPT, NCT and TPP have already initiated discussion among them and shortly they will come out with some programme.
