Indirect tax revenue collection up 7.4 per cent

New Delhi, March 11: The government on Wednesday reported an increase of 7.4 percent in indirect tax revenue collection — at Rs.478,630 crore during April-February 2014-15 on a provisiol basis. A provisiol statement from the ministry of fince showed that the collection in the corresponding period of last fiscal was Rs.441,565 crore. Customs collections increased by 8.3 percent and stood at Rs.170,943 crore during the period under review from Rs.157,944 crore collected during the like period of the previous fiscal.  (IANS)
