Unknown Organisation demands Rs 12 lakh as 'Extortion Amount' from Businessman in Baksa

Goreswar/Guwahati: An unknown organisation identified as All (Baksa District) B.F.D.N 'Sangodan' demanded an extortion amount of Rs 10 to 12 lakhs from a businessman from Goreswar under Baksa district on Wednesday.

As per a report, the maidservant spotted a bag carrying a time bomb and an extortion letter from the backyard of the businessman's residence in the early morning hours.

The businessman identified as Kailash Boro was threatened by the infamous group earlier over the phone, claims a report.

Following the recovery of the time bomb and the extortion letter, police and army personnel reached the spot and carried out an investigation.

It may further be mentioned that the extortion letter was written in the Bodo language.

The entire incident led to a sensation among the family members of Kailash Boro.
