'Information vital for implementation of central schemes'

Itagar, April 22: Deputy Secretary, Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India Gurinder S Arora has stressed on proper reporting and efficient flow of information in order to tackle challenges in implementation of central schemes at village level.

He was speaking as the centrally deputed observer at a farmers’ gathering conducted as part of the ongoing “Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyan,” at Fengche Gram Panchayat under 12-Watte Anchal Samiti, located some 12 km away from district headquarters Seppa in East Kameng district.

The objective of the programme was to create awareness, receive feedback and design proper delivery of services in the field of agriculture and allied activities under the mechanism and guidance of the grassroots panchayati raj system and awareness about central programmes and schemes for rural and village communities, gender-related programmes and schemes.

Queries of the participating PRI members, Gaon Buras and villagers were responded by a team of resource persons drawn from various departments and fields.
