Infrastructure projects in Lohit district launched

Itanagar, May 4: Arunachal Pradesh Animal Husbandry, Veterinary and Dairy Development minister Mohesh Chai inaugurated four infrastructure projects at different locations at Tezu in Lohit district on Thursday.

He first inaugurated the Investigating Officers (IO) building at the premises of Tezu Police Station. Executed by WRD, the new IO building with two rooms would house the offices of investigation officers.

He also inaugurated two buildings at Indira Gandhi Government College at Tezu. The first building with three classrooms was constructed under Untied Fund 2015-2016. The second one consisting of academic block and students’ common room was funded under the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan.

Later, addressing a function at the academic block of IGGC, Dr Chai expressed his desire to make the college as number one college in Arunachal Pradesh. “My dream is to make Indira Gandhi Government College as one of the best college in Arunachal Pradesh,” he said.

A two-roomed dormitory for 10 persons at VIP suite, Circuit House at Tezu was also inaugurated by him. Later in the day, he inspected the ongoing Treasury Office building, Mini Secretariat building and Indoor Badminton Hall at Tezu.
