Initiatives undertaken for good health of mother & child at Dibrugarh, Assam

Dibrugarh, July 18: Under the presidentship of Deputy Commissioner Laya Madduri, a review meeting of Dibrugarh District Health Committee was held at the DC office on Wednesday. In the meeting, various initiatives concerning the good health of mother and child, undertaken by the Health Department in the district, were discussed in detail. Apart from that, discussions were also held on providing adequate care for pregnant women identified as having a critical condition and underweight newborn babies, handling issues like blood deficiency and undernourishment; providing better health treatment in the tea garden areas and vaccination against Japanese Encephalitis.

The other dignitaries to have attended the meeting included Dibrugarh District Development Commissioner Jadhav Saikia; Joint Director of Health Service, Dr. Udayan Kumar Baruah and Media Specialist of National Health Mission, Debang Bikash Gogoi.
