Installation ceremony of Lions Club of Guwahati Kamrupa held at Hotel Kiranshree Portico

GUWAHATI, July 24: The 22nd installation ceremony of Lions Club of Guwahati Kamrupa was held on July 22 at Hotel Kiranshree Portico. The New Board of Directors was installed by Past District Governor Lion Suraj Bagla from District 322B1, Kolkata. The New BOD headed by Lion Nisha Saraf comprises of secretary Lion Preeti Goyal, treasurer Lion Prem Chand Agarwala, 1st VP Lion Kamlesh Sharma, 2nd VP Lion Anil Choudhary, membership development chairman Lion Rajesh Agarwala and service chairperson Lion Sania Jalan.

Lion Suraj Bagla has installed the board in a unique style and he is a great motivator and a trainer. He has infused Lions International’s motto ‘We Serve’ in every member and the members were really ready to do more for the down trodden people of the society.

Chief Guest Immediate Past District Governor Lion Radha Agarwala has motivated the Lion’s members by her speech and inducted 4 new members into the fold of lionism which has taken the membership strength of the club to 193 which is second highest in the district.

Dignitaries like PDG Lion M P Agarwala, PDG Lion Mandira Chanda, PDG Lion Amar Barooah, PDG Lion L N Agarwala and VDG II Lion Rajkumar Ringania have praised the works of Lions Club of Guwahati Kamrupa under the leadership of Lion Rajesh Agarwala during which the club has witnessed phenomenal success as the club begged Best Club, Best President, Best Secretary etc. award and the tally goes to 28 district awards in the recently held district award ceremony. The outgoing president Lion Rajesh Agarwala distributed annual awards to the club members for their support. Lion Kamlesh Sharma has been adjudged as the Lion of the Year.
