‘Insult’ to Hindu gods, goddesses decried

TINSUKIA, July 1: The Tinsukia District Committee of All Assam Hindu Students’ Union (AAHSU) has strongly objected to the insult of Hindu gods-goddesses whose pictures are being pasted in public places and institutional premises, and urged upon the institutions and public bodies to remove them immediately, stated a press release of AAHSU. The union also threatened to take legal of action against the offenders. Meanwhile, in an emergent meeting of AAHSU held at the Upper Assam’s HQ located at Thana Road, Tinsukia on Sunday in presence of Ratan Singh, chief adviser, and Gopal Deb, joint secretary of central committee, while adopting several resolutions, unanimously selected joint secretary Rupam Das as secretary of Tinsukia district committee of AAHSU.
