INTACH to announce result of competition

Dibrugarh, Feb 27: Indian tiol Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) Dibrugarh Chapter organized the ‘My City My Heritage’ competition for school students of Class VI to Class IX on December 29 at Sampoor Kendra Vidyalaya, Dibrugarh. The competition involved documenting the heritage of the city by writing an essay in any major Indian language. The essay was to be about a monument or building, place of worship, any vercular architecture, flora, fau, biodiversity Park, festival, art and craft, custom and tradition, or a living legend.

The essay had to be supported by a painting, photograph or a sketch. The competition was being held as part of INTACH’s tiol outreach programmes for schools across India by its Heritage Education and Communication Service (HECS) division. Around 45 students, out of which 32 were girls, participated in the competition. The results for the same will be announced at the all-India level by INTACH by the end of March, 2017.
