Intercity express train to have stoppage at Balipara

Dhekiajuli, November 2:  A long-standing demand of the people of Balipara will be fulfilled as the 15613/15614 Kamakhya- Murkongselek  Intercity  Express will  now stop at Balipara under Rangapara Constituency from  November  4. In a press release issued by the Deputy Speaker and MLA of Rangapara constituency, Bhimanda Tanti, it was stated that the MLA had written a  letter  demanding  train stoppage  at Balipara to the Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu on September 14 and got the formal approval from the Railway Ministry on  October  6 vide the Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu’s  letter reference no. MR/A/10102-10103/2015, dated 06/10/2016. The proposed Balipara  railway stoppage will be for two minutes on every arrival and departure of Kamakhya –Murkongselek Intercity Express  from Balipara railway station. Meanwhile, the people of Balipara have expressed satisfaction at this initiative by Bhimanda Tanti. The Assam Chhah Mazdoor Sangha, Borsola Branch has welcomed the initiative.
