International Bodo-Mech Literary and Cultural Congregation in Nepal concludes

Kokrajhar: The International Bodo -Meche Literary and Cultural Integration Programme organized jointly by Bodo Sahitya Sabha (BSS), Meche Somaj Sibiyari Afad of Nepal and Meche Sahitya Sabha of Nepal at Meche Nwgwr, Dulabari in Jhappa district of Nepal concluded on Sunday last.

Representatives from Assam, West Bengal and Nepal strongly took part in the literary and cultural congregation.

On a concluding day on Sunday, the state Home Minister of Birat province Hikkmat Karki addressing before the gathering as chief guest said the government of Nepal had been looking after the problems and prospects of Meche people living in Jhappa district. He said the literature and culture were two important components for a society.

He praised the colorful cultural integration of Bodo and Meche people and hopes that it will enhance the emotional attachment of people of Bodo people. He also said the government of Nepal will work for the development of Meche community in Nepal and they will collect every shortcoming through Municipal administration and will carry out a proper survey to fulfill the primary needs.
