International Nurses Day observed at LGB Regional Institute of Mental Health, Tezpur

Tezpur: International Nurses Day was celebrated at LGB Regional Institute of Mental Health (LGBRIMH), Tezpur, with the theme ‘Nurses: A Voice to lead, Health for all’. The inaugural session was started with ceremonial lamp lighting by the dignitaries. Dr. SK Deuri, the Director, graced the occasion as the chief guest and spoke about the need of transformation of nurses towards better health system. The theme was unfolded by Arundhati Baruah, Principal Nursing Officer, School of Nursing, Kanaklata Civil Hospital, Tezpur. She focused on enhancing nurses’ quality and providing accessible health care to all.

Dr. Aparajeeta Baruah, Head of Office, LGBRIMH, spoke about the contribution of nurses to the health care system. Various competitions were held among the nursing staff and students throughout the day keeping the theme in mind. A colourful cultural programme was held to bring out the hidden talents of the nurses.
