International seminar on socio-cultural assimilation

GAURISAGAR, April 29: Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Jhanji Hem Nath Sarmah (HNS) College is organizing a two-day long international seminar on the topic ‘Socio-cultural assimilation in Northeast India and South East Asia’ in active collaboration with UGC-approved Gandhi centre of the college, Assam College Principal’s Council, Institute of Tai Studies and Research, Moranhat and prominent NGO Krishak Nyas, Sivasagar. The seminar begins on Monday.  Patricia Cheesman, professor of Siyangmai University, Thailand, Professor Chirapet Prapandaviya, a renowned Indologist and Sanskrit scholar, Dibrugarh University Vice-Chancellor Dr Alok Kumar Buragohain, MP Kamakshya Prasad Tasa, Amguri MLA Prodip Hazarika and noted educationists will take part in the inaugural session.
