IOCL Field Officer of Lakhimpur receives award

LAKHIMPUR: Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) Field Officer of Assam, Syed Mir Mumtaz Hussain, who is at present working in Lakhimpur as IOCL Nodal Officer, was awarded by the Central Government for his remarkable works under the Central Government’s domestic gas scheme- Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY).

Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Affairs, Dharmendra Pradhan conferred him the special award at an all India meet, titled as Ujjwala Utsav, held recently at the Talkotara Stadium in New Delhi. The award, along with appreciation certificate and cheque for the year of 2018-19 was presented to him for his remarkable efforts in ensuring PMUY domestic gas saturation in villages under Gram Swaraj Abhiyan, having achieved the highest number of villages saturated in Dhemaji district. He told The Sentinel on Monday that he felt extremely honoured and happy receiving the award which had recognized his hard work.

Munin Gas Agency proprietor Saru Borah, manager Gobin Chetry, assistant manager Pranab Bhuyan, Jagannath HP Gas Agency proprietor Lakhi Chutia, Hazarika Gas Agency proprietor Lohit Hazarika, Sonowal Gas Agency manager Dipak Das, Dulen Gas Agency proprietor Uday Sankar Hazarika and BB Indane proprietor Babi Bobita Borah congratulated the IOCL officer for his outstanding achievement.
