Irregularities in approval of tenders alleged

KALAIGAON, July 5: The Kabirali Ancholik Committee of All Boro Students’ Union (ABSU) alleged that the Kalaigaon Development Block allegedly approved a tender for Kabirali Bazar under Kalaigaon revenue circle while the highest bidder was disqualified.

According to Ringsar Baglari, president of Kabirali ABSU, the highest bidder should get an opportunity for allotment of any market as per government rule. But the BTC authority approved the tender for Kabirali market to a low bidder. So, the student body urged the authority concerned to withdraw the tender immediately or they would launch a stir.
