IS pays sudden visit to schools

TINSUKIA, April 29: With a view to improving academic atmosphere and to observe state of functioning in schools, the Inspector of Schools (IS) and DEEO i/c Tinsukia Abdul Jelil made a surprise visit to several schools in Doomdooma circle on Friday and found to his utter astonishment 50% of the 30 member teaching staff in Dangori HS School did not turn up till 9.30 am so also one Hindi teacher in Dangori Girls’ ME School. As a discipliry action the IS ordered for one-day pay cut against all the defaulting teachers. Dangori HS School happened to be oldest HS school in the district. Contrary to this action, IS in course of his visit found several schools have been functioning well and recorded his appreciation to Saikhowa HS School, Mechaki High and ME Schools, Hahkhati High and ME Schools, Burapathar LP School and Umeswar LP School.
