Itanagar Market Welfare Association Organizes a Donation Camp for Fire Victims in Itanagar

ITANAGAR: A donation camp for the fire victims of Roing was organized by Itanagar Intellectual Forum (IIF) of Lower Dibang Valley district in collaboration with Itanagar Market Welfare Association (IMWA) at Akashdweep complex on Monday. On August 1, around 35 shops were gutted in a major inferno at Roing middle market line around 2015 hrs on Monday. The burnt shops mainly consisted of grocery stores, restaurants, bakery, hardware, tailoring, wine shop etc.

Appealing for donations from the public, IMWA president Yumlan Achung said that “though we can’t fulfill all the needs of the people who suffered the devastating fire we can at least make a change in humanity approach. Whatever people donate for the cause will be equally divided for every individual family of the fire mishap.”
