Itanagar MLA Techi Kaso elected asJanata Dal United legislator party leader

ITANAGAR: The Arunachal Pradesh unit of Janata Dal (United) at its maiden meeting of seven MLAs here on Saturday elected Itanagar MLA Techi Kaso as a leader and Rumgong MLA Talem Taboh as the deputy Leader of JD (U) legislator party.

The party also nominated Chayangtajo MLA Hayeng Mangfi and Rupa-Kalaktang MLA Dorjee Wangdi Kharma as the spokesperson and the whip of the party respectively.

The meeting, chaired by JDU NE executive council chairman N S N Lotha, was also attended by national general secretary (NE in-charge) Afaque Ahmed Khan and newly elected state president Ruhi Tagung and other office bearers and discussed steps to strengthen the party and work for all-round development. It was decided to consult national president Nitish Kumar for the future course but encouraged its defeated candidates to work for strengthening the party.

The seven newly elected MLAs announced to dedicate themselves for development of their respective assembly constituency in close coordination as ally of BJP government at Centre and the state, they said after their meeting.

Kaso, who own from for third conductive terms, thanked the people for reposing faith in his leadership.

He stated that he would devote his term for the development of Capital Complex, including beautification.

“I will work for unity and integrity of people of different communities and religion to ensure peaceful co-existence in communal harmony,” he added.
