Itanagar Police prevent National Students Union of India (NSUI) from staging protest

ITANAGAR, July 26: National Students Union of India (NSUI), State Unit, which was supposed stage a dharna in front of Chief Minister Pema Khandu private resident against BJP government was obstructed by the police stating it, was the order by the Capital Deputy Commissioner cum District Magistrate in-charge on Thursday here.

NSUI has termed conflicting to the order issued by District Administrator of not allowing peaceful dharna. Speaking to the media state NSUI President Teli Mello Camdir said that it was the order from SC not to allow bandh, but in a democratic country one must have the right to stage dharna and rally. He said that during the UPA government the scholarship Budget was around Rs 11,500 crore for the tribals of India, but that the BJP government has reduced the same to Rs 7500 crore.
