JAC urges Governor to initiate probe into APPSC fiasco

FROM OUR CORRESPONDENT

ITAGAR, Feb 1: The Jan Andolan Committee (JAC) of the State BJP has urged Governor Jyoti Prashad Rajkhowa to initiate an enquiry into the alleged foul play conducted in the Aruchal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) examition by former Chief Minister bam Tuki.

“The governor has assured to initiate a probe either by NIA or CBI into the whole episode of paper leakage during the exam conducted by the APPSC, when a delegation of JAC called him at Raj Bhawan on Saturday evening,” Committee’s chairman Tame Phassang told reporters here today.

“We are very much concerned for the future of our talented youths. But the former CM did not even spare them and leaker the question papers which compelled the genuine candidates to knock the door of High Court to seek justice. An impartial probe by the tiol Investigation Agency (NIA) and Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) will unveil the truth before the people of State,” Phassang said.

“APPSC has its own laid down norms and any government or authority cannot withhold examition results even for 3 months. Surprisingly, the Tuki government has delayed the re-written test result which was held in the month of July last year,” he pointed out.

Referring to the written test conducted during 2012 for appointment in Tax & Excise department, Phassang alleged that the result of the said examition was yet to be declared which indicated that there could be foul play. He also demanded investigation into the matter.

Stating that imposition of Central rule in the State has been welcomed by 90 per cent of the population, Phassang added that with the promulgation of President Rule, the law and order problem in the State capital was under control. The JAC also appealed the governor to meticulously investigate the alleged fincial mismagement in the departments like Education, PWD, RWD, PHE, UD, Power, and Relief & Rehabilitation within 6 months as well as to reshuffle the department’s officers right from chief secretary to the lowest level.
