JACATAM to organize general meeting

SHILLONG, Feb 1: Concerned over the delay on the part of the state government to enhance Ad hoc grants for upper and lower primary Ad hoc teachers, the Joint Action Committee of All Teachers’ Associations of Meghalaya (JACATAM) has taken a decision to organise a general meeting to discuss future course of action if the government fails to enhance the salary on or before August 24, 2017. The decision was taken at a meeting held on Wednesday at Youth Hostel, Shillong participated by association workers from various parts of the state. Speaking to reporters after the meeting, MMMM, said, “We had suspended all our agitation since August 24, 2016, since the government had assured that enhancement will be filise within six months, however if the government fails to enhance the salary of both the Upper and Lower primary Ad hoc teacher within the stipulated time period then we will have to call for a general meeting of JACHATAM to discuss our future course of action.”
