Japan domite at rock climbing WC
Mumbai, May 16: Japanese Kokoro Fujii and Miho Noka came out victorious in the men’s and women’s category respectively in the Intertiol Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) World Cup of rock climbing here.
Japan claimed four medals and Fujii and Noka won the first Bouldering World Cup of their careers.
After winning the previous four bouldering competitions, Shau Coxsey of Great Britain missed the fil cut and finished ninth overall.
The first men’s problem (M1) featured exhausting upside-down jamming between well set twin volumes, and only runner-up Tomoa rasaki of Japan conserved enough energy to reach the top.
Most of the men rebounded on the running start and concluding dyno of M2, including Fujii who flashed the two-move problem. IANS
