Jazeera Airways Flight catches fire at Hyderabad Airport , Passengers escape unharmed

Guwahati: A Jazeera Airways Flight (J 9 608) traveling from Kuwait to Hyderabad caught fire upon landing at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Hyderabad (RGIA) earlier this morning. The flight had 145 passengers on board.

The incident took place this morning at 1.45 AM when the Jazeera Airways Flight 's right engine caught fire. Officials cited "technical problems" to be the reason behind this.

The airport officials stopped the flight immediately at the taxiway, and firefighters rushed to the spot. The pilot had already stopped the engine of the flight by then.

The fire was soon brought under control and the aircraft was shifted to Bay No. 57. None of the passengers on board the flight were injured.
