JE threat in gaon district

GAON (HAIBORGAON), June 23: Joint Director of Health Services, gaon, Atul Chandra Pator, on Thursday at a press conference said that the entire district was under the threat of Japanese Encephalitis (JE) and that within two months total 12 persons, including children, had been affected by JE, out of which two have already died. He, however, assured that departmental measures had already been initiated but departmental measures were not enough. He appealed to the people of the district to create awareness about JE so that suspected patients can get proper treatment on time. He, on the other hand, also urged the people of the remote villages of the district to use medicated mosquito nets while sleeping at night as well as to maintain the cleanliness in their surrounding.
