Jehirul Hussain Memorial inter-school debate held

Golaghat , May 14: Golaghat Jatiya Vidyalaya on Saturday organized an inter-school debate competition at Amateur Theatre Society Auditorium. The competition was organized in memory of one of the founders of Golaghat Jatiya Vidyalaya, noted educationist Jehirul Hussain. The debate competition was iugurated by Dr Ajit Baruah. More than 40 students from 10 schools of Golaghat town participated in the debate competition. The topic of the debate was ‘The present day education system has completely failed to impart value based education to the student community’. The debate competition was chaired by noted educationist Tileswar Tamuly and judged by advocate and jourlist Bobita Bora and college professors Biplob Gogoi and Debashish Baruah.
