Applications are invited from the Indian citizen for filling up of a few positions under the “Agro-Economic Research Centre for NE India”, Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India located at the Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat. A. I. Name of the Post: Research Fellow (RF)

II. No. of Post: 1 (One) on contractual basis.

III. Essential Qualification:

1) Minimum second class Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics/ Economics /Statistics from any recognized University and working knowledge of computer application.

IV. Experience:

Performance of the candidates will be judged on the basis of their academic

career, experience in the line and overall personality.

V. Consolidated pay of Rs.16,000/- +HRA+MA as admissible per month.

VI. Age: - Maximum age limit : 44 years as on 01-01.2018

B. I. Name of the Post: PA to Director

II. No. of Post: 1 (One)

III. Essential Qualification:

1) Graduate in Arts/ Science/ Commerce from any recognized University with good command over Enghlish and knowledge of Computer Application.

2) Diploma in Stenography with a speed of 120 W. P. M in Shorthand and 40 W. P. M in Type Writing.

IV. Pay Scale : Rs.8,000-35,000/- + Grade Pay Rs. 4,900/- -PM (pre-revised)

V. Age: - Maximum age limit : 44 years as on 01-01.2018

C. I. Name of the Post: Typist

II. No. of Post: 1 (One)

III. Essential Qualification:

1) Graduate in Arts/ Science/ Commerce from any recognized University with high proficiency in Computer Typing application with a minimum speed of 40 w. p. m.

V. Pay scale: Rs. Rs.5,200-20,200/- + Grade Pay Rs. 2,500/- -PM (pre-revised)

VI. Age: - Maximum age limit : 44 years as on 01-01.2018

General Instruction:

1. Mere possessing the required qualification will not make a candidate eligible for the post.

2. No TA/DA will be borne by the Centre for appearing in the test/interview if called for.

3. DD/IPO amounting Rs.300/- in case of general category and Rs.150/- in case of SC/ST/PH category must accompany the application form in favour of Director, AERC, AAU,Jorhat. Duly filled-in application form and a set of self-attested copies of other supporting documents are to be submitted to the Director, AERC, AAU Campus, Jorhat on or before the cut-off date, i.e. August,13 2018.

4. In-service candidates shall have to send their application through proper channel. The age of a deserving candidate shall be relaxable by the number of full years of service rendered in AAU/ICAR/CSIR/DST/SAU & other Govt. Institutes up to a maximum of 5 years, as supported by the relevant documents.

5. Maximum age is relaxable for the candidates belonging to the reserved category as per Govt. Rules.

6. The services of the selected candidates shall be governed by new CPF Rules.
