John Abraham discusses tourism issues with Acharya

Itagar, Feb 1: Aruchal Tourism Brand Ambassador John Abraham today called on state Governor P B Acharya at Raj Bhavan here and discussed on steps to popularise state’s tourism in the tiol and intertiol circuits. Sharing his vast experiences in the state since 1965, the Governor advised the Brand Ambassador to take Aruchal Tourism to the countrymen and the world at large.

“It is one of the most beautiful regions with pristine environment and wonderful people,” the governor said, a Raj Bhawan communiqué informed. The governor suggested that while respecting the tribal sentiments and traditions, the home stays must be promoted in right approach and at reasoble cost.

Acharya said that the Saudi Arabia is rich because of petroleum and Aruchal Pradesh can be richest state of the country due to hydropower. He asked Abraham to highlight the other potentials of the state as the Brand Ambassador.

The Governor said that learning even a few working knowledge of local dialects would bring the hearts together as equal. “Our universities should open a department or a chair for the ‘MASTE’ (galand –Aruchal Pradesh-Manipur-Meghalaya-Mizoram-Assam-Sikkim-Tripura-East) NE region dialects for emotiol integration,” Acharya said. Jayabalan, Abraham’s partner in Northeast United Football Club and Meekshi, his mager were also present on the occasion, the communiqué added.
