Joint operation team recovers deer horn

KOKRAJHAR, Dec 28: The combined search operation party of coy Dholkhola and Border Out Post, Tukrabasti under the leading ship of PK Medhi, Assistant Commandant along with 34 others, recovered a deer horn (antler) in the jungle area which is about 4.5 km south from border pillar no 160 along the Indo-Bhutan border. Sources from the SSB said after the recovery of the horn, the operation party further searched the area and found some observation posts (machan) which the miscreants or poachers were using. These were destroyed on the spot. Sources also said that the deer horn was handed over to the forest office at Ultapani near Bhutan border. The cost of the deer horn is around Rs 10,000 according to the forest officials.
