Joint rally of CPI and CPI (ML) in Chabua

MARGHERITA, March 13: For the first time in Chabua town, a joint rally was organized by CPI and CPI (ML), giving a clarion call to the voters of Chabua LAC not to cast their valuable votes in favour of the Congress party or the BJP. On Sunday more than 200 CPI and CPI(ML) activists took part in the rally, each carrying red flags, said Comrade Subhas Sen, member of State Standing Committee of CPI (ML).Comrade Subhas Sen said that total 59 candidates had been fielded by the Left United Platform (a joint platform of six Left parties of Assam) and at Chabua LAC, Comrade Debth Manjhi of CPI (ML) will contest in the assembly election. The rally also demanded the immediate arrest of the murderers of Comrade Gangaram Kaul. Prakash Rajkhowa, CPI (M), was also present at today’s rally.
